Blake Shupp

Communication (Media Production Track) & Marketing Student

Salisbury University

My name is Blake Shupp, and I am a senior at Salisbury University studying Communication with a track in Media Production and a minor in Marketing. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2027. Throughout my time at Salisbury, I have taken classes that have helped me gain experience in media production, communication, marketing, and social media. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland, in January 2026 through a communication course, which gave me the chance to learn more about communication and culture outside of the classroom.

Outside of school, I have spent the past three years as the social media manager for Salisbury University Women’s Club Soccer. Through this position, I have created content, managed the team’s social media presence, and helped promote the club throughout the school year. This experience has helped me become more comfortable with content creation, design, organization, and communicating with different audiences.

MY INTERNSHIP

For my internship, I am working under Buas Enterprises, where one of my main responsibilities is helping manage Real Raw Organics. A large part of my role involves the behind-the-scenes work that helps keep the business and team prepared for each day. This includes organizing systems and information, helping create procedures and resources for employees, assisting with daily operations, keeping materials updated, and making sure the team has what they need to work efficiently. I also help with communication, marketing-related projects, and other responsibilities that come up throughout the day.

In addition to my work with Real Raw Organics, I am gaining experience with other businesses under Buas Enterprises. Some of my responsibilities include social media assistance for The Coconut Club, creating and organizing AI systems, inputting information into Google Ads, helping with website-related projects for Coastal Law, and assisting with office communication and day-to-day systems.

Throughout this internship, I hope to continue improving my skills in management, organization, communication, marketing, and content creation. Having the opportunity to take on more responsibility behind the scenes at Real Raw Organics while also working on projects for several different businesses has allowed me to apply what I have learned in both my Communication and Marketing courses in a real work environment. This website will highlight my experience throughout the internship, including my weekly logs and examples of the different projects I have worked on.
